Quick Answer: In all Salt and Brackish water conditions the Aluminum Anode is the best choice over traditional Zinc. It will last longer, cost you less and is environmentally friendly!
To date, the small amount of Cadmium used in the production of zinc anodes has been “claimed, ” by a number of regulators to pose “no threat” to the environment. We’d, however; recognize that the perception of a Cadmium containing alloy is of concern for many of our customers.
As a result of our commitment to the environment and our employees, we have developed Martyr Premium (Aluminum) anodes that have no added Cadmium in their manufacturing process.
